PointBreak Cafe & Co sits right on Marine Parade in Coolangatta, making it a natural pitstop for anyone wanting breakfast or lunch with a view of the beach just across the road. This cafe attracts a relaxed crowd — think locals grabbing coffee before a morning swim or travelers looking for a casual spot to refuel after a stroll along the esplanade.

The vibe here is comfortably casual with a bright, clean interior and seating that spills outdoors when the weather’s on its side. It’s the kind of place where friendly staff move with purpose but never rush you, perfect for a Sunday morning laid back to slow conversation or a quick weekday coffee fix.

The menu leans towards hearty all-day dining with fresh takes on cafe classics. Breakfast options like Eggs Benny on Turkish bread or corn fritters offer something a bit elevated without losing comfort appeal, and the presence of vegetarian choices like a Mediterranean falafel bowl speaks to the diverse tastes of the local community. Savory dishes such as a grilled chicken burger with halloumi and avocado pair well with their coffee, which locals seem to appreciate as a reliable pick-me-up.

If you visit on a warm day, an acai bowl or fresh-pressed juice can be a refreshing choice, while the banana smoothies earn praise for being genuinely satisfying. Though prices are on the higher side, the focus on quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors seems to justify the spend for most customers.

PointBreak Cafe & Co works well as a breakfast or lunch spot for individuals or friends who want to enjoy straightforward, well-made food without fuss, with the added bonus of ocean air just a few steps away. Early mornings and weekends are likely the best times to visit if you want to catch it at a lively but not overcrowded pace. Overall, it fits neatly into Coolangatta’s laid-back beachside rhythm, offering a comfortable setting for locals and visitors alike to recharge.

The best burrito in Gold Coast, per a Denver, Colorado native! The BLAT on Turkish is great too. Oh— and so is the coffee. Totally recommend.

Absolutely delicious! I had the Acia bowl and it was so fresh, and brain freeze material. Perfect for a summer day. l I added the peanut butter topping took it to the next level. The halloumi wrap was also super yummy, especially with the beetroot hummus. We also ordered a banana smoothie which was delicious too. It’s on the pricier side, but honestly worth the money for the quality and taste. Great service as well will definitely be back

This cafe is an absolute gem! My friend and I had the most fantastic brunch here and I can't recommend it enough. I ordered the corn fritters, they were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, yet still sooo fluffy on the inside. They came served with a delicious relish that had just the right amount of sweetness! I also had a fresh pressed orange juice, and it was exactly what I was hoping for—vibrant, zesty, and so refreshing! The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, and the service was quick and friendly. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee or a lovely weekend brunch, this place is a must-visit. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back!

Had the eggs benny, some of the pear granola and a latte. Food and coffee were great. Service was wonderful. I was with my sister who had one of those weird and annoying custom coffee orders that I hate to even ask for, but they were accommodating with a smile. Dog friendly too which is always handy

Breakfast that good that it has made me learn how to leave a review. Honestly the nicest breakfast I’ve ever had, had the greens and mushrooms on toast with poached eggs, perfectly cooked eggs and with order alterations that were obligingly filled, everything 10/10 delicious. Ate on a Friday morning at 1030, service with a very handsome smile - followed by fast, piping hot food. Super impressed, will be coming back. Worth every dollar.

I highly recommend this place for breakfast. I had the eggs bene croissant and wow! Absolutely nailed the hollandaise sauce which is hard to find. Hubby had big breakfast and my daughter had the kids waffles, nuggets with fries and a chocolate thickshake. Both loved their meals as well. I also had the Boost Juice which was delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They catered to our requests to have my daughters banana and sauce on the side of her waffles. Efficiently cleared our table. We parked across the road but we're lucky to get a park. It's quite busy but there is street parking also. We will definitely be back again.
